Formula: VLOOKUP(lookup size, column number, table list, [range lookup])

Lookup Value: The same value that you have on both tablets. In your first spreadsheet, choose the first value. In the example that follows from Sprung, This refers to the list's first email address or cell 2 (C2).

Table Array: The column range in sheet 2 from which your data will be extracted, The data column in sheet 1 that is the same as your search value (in our example e-mail addresses) and the data column that are being copied to sheet 1 are included. For this example it is "Sheet2!A: B." "A" means Column A of the Sheet 2, which is a column for Sheet 2 where the data is described on Sheet 1.The "B" means Column B, containing the details that are only available in Sheet 2 to be converted into Sheet 1.

Column Number: The table array indicates to Excel where the new data to be copied is located in sheet 1 (which column). That will be the "Home" column in our case, the second column in our table list, making it Column number 2.

Lookup range: Use FALSE to make sure you just pull correct value matches.

The formula below with Sprung variables: = VLOOKUP(C2,Sheet2!A: B,2,FALSE);
